I will arrive mid day on Thursday March 22nd .
We will depart the camp ground to look for rocks by 9 am on the 23rd, 24th & 25th.
We will have a POT-LUCK Dinner Saturday night the 27th at 5:00 pm
BBQ chicken will be provide by the club and cooked by Mike & Alan LaVo

Burro Creek BLM Campground
PLEASE NOTE” The club has made reservations at the Group camping area for the nights of March 22nd, 23rd, 24th & 25th. There is plenty of room for tents and RV’s. Also has a covered picnic area with water. The club will be paying the $50 per night camping fee.

Note there are no water or electrical hook ups for RV’s.
Please Bring Fire wood.
Directions to Burro Creek campground
From Kingman;
The recreation site turnoff is one mile south of Burro Creek Bridge. From the signed turnoff, continue 1.5 miles to the recreation site via the paved access road. The group area is on the left when you enter camp ground.

Facilities

Most camping & picnicking sites are equipped with a metal fire grill, trash can, picnic table, large sun-shelter Ramada, & a level parking site.

Located in Wikieup, west side of hwy 93 north of chicken springs rd.
Located 50 miles from Kingman and 72 miles from Wickenburg
Full Hook up; elec, water, sewer42 total RV sites, can accommodate any size RV, some pull-troughs, phone hookup accessibility, bathroom with shower, laundry, snack bar, food mart and unique gifts & souvenirs.
Cost is $20 per night plus tax
Passport America is $10 per night plus tax

Room 1 has 2 twin beds
Room 2 has 1 Queen bed
Room 3 has 1 Queen bed and 2 twin beds
Price depends on number of people;
1 person $40
2 people $45.
3 people $50.
4 people $55.

Average Temperature in Wikieup in March is 78 degrees daytime and 39 degrees nighttime
Burro Creek area is one of Arizona’s premiere rock collecting areas, even around the campground.
There is purple agate, Pastelite with agate, purple passion agate, banded barite, apache tears, jasper and much more.

Level sites available that can accommodate large recreational vehicles and suitable sites for tent campers. One Handicap-Accessible camp site is available with nearby accessible restroom.
I-40 and Hwy93 travel east approx 22 miles on I-40. At Exit-71 go south on Hwy-93 for 36 miles to the little town of Wikieup. (Note Wikieup is the only place to get food or gas in the area). Continue south on Hwy-93 for another 17 miles and turn Right to campground.
