From Hwy 95/68 and Lauglin bridge go north on Hwy 68 about 1/4 mile and turn left into Museum.
This will be a guided tour for us and will be a $2.00 donation per person.

Field Trip to Kingman Onyx Mine
We will be going to the Kingman and Lake Havasu clubs Onyx mine Thursday November 15th 2012.
We will Meet at the Chevron gas station Hwy 68 and Landon Dr.
From Hwy 95 / Hwy 68 and Laughlin bridge; Go north east on Hwy 68 for 2.9 mile and turn right on Landon Dr. After we meet we will go to Kingman and get on I-40 heading east, get off on Stockton Hill Rd and head north for about 10 miles to the mine.
Tools needed are; gloves, pry bars, hammer and chisel's. This will be surface collecting and hard rock minning. This is a 2 wheel drive trip.

Lake Havasu Gem & Mineral Show
Show will be November 11th & 12th 2012 at Lake Havasu Aquatic Center 100 Park Ave LHC, AZ
9am to 5pm Saturday and 9am to 4pm Sunday.
This is always a good show with lots of vendors and Great displays by members of the club. They also have great door prizes.
We will be car pooling to this Rock Show; Meet at 9:00am Saturday the 11th at Valley Veiw Hospitial on Hwy 95 Fort Mohave. North end of parking lot next to Hwy 95. Don't forget to wear Your club badge.

Field Trip to Whipple Mts October 18th
We will be going to the Wipple Mountains in Calif on Thursday Oct 18th
We will meet at 8:00am at the Arco Gas station AZ Hwy 95 and Courtwright rd.
This will be 4wheel drive trip. Please see SCRRC Map # 7
This will be mostly surface colecting for agate and jasper.
Bring Your Lunch and Chairs.
We will Have a find of the day prize.

FIELD TRIP REPORT
We had a good field trip to the Whipple Mountains. 8 people attended. We found lots of pink & green and brown agate. Wayne found a nice piece of Jasper in the wash and gave it to me. (Thanks Wayne). Darlene Berry found a nice piece of pink & green agate with a nice Chalcedony Rose on one side and She won the find of the day for

Meeting Thursday October 4th 2012
Hope everyone had a great summer and is ready to find some rocks. I had one good rock trip to Davis creek, California. Collected some nice rainbow obsidian. I will bring some to the next meeting.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Oct meeting. Don't forget 6pm AZ time.

MOHAVE COUNTY GEMSTONERS SHOW April 14th & 15th 2012
This has been a pretty good show in the past. Lots of vendors and slabs for sale. Show will be on Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Sunday 9am to 4pm.

Field Trip April 17th 2012
We will be going to a new area that was a old gold/silver mine. There is some good Yellow materal good for cabbing. I have seen a sample that looked like it had silver ore in it. Rich and Judy Kluge will be leading Us on this trip. We will meet at 9:am Tuesday April 17th 2012.
Directions; From Hwy-95 and El Rodeo Rd, Go East on El Rodeo Rd for 5miles to end of pavment. Meet on the right across from road to dump. YES this is the road Taco Bell is on. Sorry for My mix up at meeting.
